The Ronald McDonald House
a home-away-from-home
How to Request a Room
When you arrive at the hospital, ask your social worker or head nurse to refer you to the Ronald McDonald House. The House staff will then contact you as soon as a room is available. Rooms are provided on a first-come-first-serve basis to families with hospitalized children under the age of 18, but priority given to families of patients in critical care units.
You will enjoy the privacy of your own room and bathroom, two double beds, and a chance to get the rest you need to be refreshed and return to the hospital each day to be at the side of your loved child. A clean and fully stocked family laundry room is available 24-hours a day for personal laundry and also for cleaning your sheets and towels. Generous Community Groups provide many of the dinners and some of the breakfasts and lunches, allowing you to get a home-cooked meal, and then get back to caring for your family.
For more information about what to expect, call a Family Services Manager at 614-227-3734.
