The Red Shoe Society is a young professional's organization dedicated to supporting the ever increasing fundraising and volunteer needs of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Members of the Society benefit by taking part in hands-on volunteer opportunities, serving in a leadership capacity, or through the various networking opportunities the organization provides.

Volunteering
Red Shoe membership provides a wide variety of volunteer opportunities:
  • Assisting with key Red Shoe events throughout the year, such as "A Toast to Tinseltown, and the "Dig it for the House" Volleyball Tournament
  • Participating in additional fund-raising events held for the charity
  • Working with corporate partners to acquire sponsorships and auction items
  • Supporting the children and families who stay at the House through cooking meals, donating items or other charitable contributions

Networking
Through its monthly networking events, Red Shoe members have the opportunity to connect with other young professionals interested in community service and career networking. These events provide a relaxed and social atmosphere, while staying connected to the mission of the charity. In addition to social events, members can volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House. While there, they can network with a volunteer base with varied ages, backgrounds, and careers. Finally, Red Shoe membership provides the opportunity to interact with the charity's Board of Trustees, who represent some of the finest community leaders in Central Ohio.

Leading and Mentoring
There are a number of leadership opportunities within the Red Shoe Society. Members can coordinate volunteers as an activity team leader, chair one of the organization's various social and fund-raising events, or serve as one of the Society's elected leaders. Also, society members may participate in the charity's various committees and work groups. Finally, participating in the Red Shoe Society prepares young professionals for membership on a non-profit or philanthropic board.

Who Can Join?
Membership is FREE to any young professional, between the ages of 25-40, who is interested in assisting thousands of families with seriously ill children. Members are encouraged to participate on one committee and attend at least one RMHC event during the year.

How Can I Get Involved?
